Sara Nagel, Au.D.1 StarUPDATE: A tech came out over 2 weeks after initial call for service and adjusted the indoor unit which was not installed properly initially. Our issue seems to be resolved now and I am grateful for the service. I hope the company works to improve the overall quality of their work and response time going forward.
Indoor Comfort installed a new downstairs unit for us in Oct., 2023. As the weather got warmer over the last few months, we noticed that our older, upstairs unit was much cooler than the new downstairs unit at the same temperature setting. We called Indoor Comfort on Fri., 6/28/24 to come out and check their unit. Was told someone would call back on Monday, 7/1/2024. Someone called my husband on Monday 7/1/24 and said he'd be out on Wed., 7/3/24. No one showed. By then, water was leaking down from our attic through the wall down two stories into our kitchen. We went up into the attic, and saw the unit was blowing cold air into the attic instead of into the ducts, and leaking condensation water all over the insulation in the attic through the attic floor to the stories below. The pipe coming from the unit should have been directed outside to release condensation but instead seemed to have been installed incorrectly. Called again today and no answer. We had to turn our ac off to prevent further damage to attic insulation and sheetrock. Disappointed in quality of work and lack of response to follow-up service request.Tuesday 16th July 2024
Ben Elander1 StarI had this company install 2 new air conditioning units back in 2017 that we're fully under warranty. Have had numerous issues, and prices, even with warranty ,were much higher than other air conditioning businesses. They were very non response this last time and didn't make any deadlines and I eventually had to call a different company to come work on the air conditioning units. The other company also did the repairs for a much more reasonable price than Indoor Comfort. After deadlines had passed, I tried calling to find out why, but they stopped answering phones and never showed up. Very unreliable at a time when the weather was very hot and my house was extremely uncomfortable. At least I was able to find other, more reliable, air conditioning companies so I will never have to use Indoor Comfort again.Friday 4th November 2022
howdy doody1 StarWe have been using Indoor Comfort Specialist for nearly 20 years and we will never use them again after a recent event.
We had a plumbing issue on our geothermal loop system in our yard which we fixed after many days of hard work digging up piping and employing a plumber for the final pipe corrections, After we fixed said plumbing leak, we decided it was best to also schedule a diagnostic/check-up from a technician at Indoor Comfort to check the unit in the attic for any problems caused by the prolonged period of no water pressure.
The technician did a very fast check of the unit and pump located in our attic space, spending a total of 10 minutes or so up there to probably make sure the units current specifications regarding water pressure and other things were all adequate, we ran the unit and the unit seemed fine. Finished the job, paid him the service fee and thanked him and etc.
1 hour later we had a flood which we thankfully caught early(within 30 minutes), however, our attic, our second floor, and our first floor all had water damage. After calling the technician he denied all responsibility, denied ever even touching our pump, and said the earliest we could schedule them to be back out was to be 3 days from then. He suggested maybe we could get a refund on our service fee, but that the flooding was in no way any fault of his own. They also never returned our phone calls and we never received a refund on our service fee for that day.
We're currently dealing with the insurance company to fix the damage caused by the leak.
Additionally, when I had my emergency plumber come out to fix the problem with the water pipe connected to the unit, he stated "Who installed this? this was installed incorrectly" Indoor Comfort installed that pipe.
These guys have lost our business forever.Wednesday 8th July 2020
Steven Lewis2 StarWe had this company install two new geothermal units a couple of years ago. One of the units never seemed right as we had very high humidity compared to the previous unit. After two years the blower motor failed and they came out and replaced it. Before the repair work was done we verbally agreed on a price which included the fact that the parts were covered under warranty. After the work was done, I was presented with an invoice for more then double of what I was quoted earlier. After a number of phone calls, we were able to come to an agreed charge but the entire thing was handled very unprofessionally. I will not use this company again and I can not recommend them.Monday 18th July 2022
Russ Baxley1 StarBought a house that had used this Company in the past. Needed some thermostats installed and other work. Called on 8/22 and left a message. Got a call back the next day and they were going to look at their availability and call back. Got a call back on 8/25 and because of scheduling conflicts we decided to schedule the work for 9/7. Late in the day on 9/7 I called them to make sure they were still coming out. Talked to same girl as before and she said she remembered talking to me but thought the work was scheduled for another day. She blamed the mishap on a "new girl" in the office. She said that once she got back to the office she would call and get things worked out (whenever I talk to them they always seem to be in the car away from the office). I am still waiting on their call back. Found another Company and they got the work done the same day I called.Saturday 10th September 2022
